MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND TRIBUTE
Historic downtown Sonora will show its true colors this Memorial Day weekend with a “Support Our Troops – A Memorial Day Weekend Tribute” on Friday, May 23, 2008.
Today's Country 93.5 KKBN encourages all Mother Lode residents to come out to Courthouse Park between 8am to 2pm to sign a “Honor Scroll” that will be sent to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Join us from Courthouse Park on Washington Street, across from the Veterans Memorial Hall and Military Museum in downtown Sonora.
Pat Padavana of “Operation MOM” will have a booth setup to collect items desperately needed for troops, such as food items, personal hygiene, books, puzzles and other miscellaneous items. Click Here to see the list of items you can donate the troops!
